Bauhaus Recruitment are currently resourcing for Data Cabling Engineers based within a commutable distance to West Sussex for permanent positions.

 Job Description

Successful candidates will be based within a commutable distance to the client office in West Sussex and be required to work in teams on the installation of structured cabling infrastructure and the associated containment on large projects across the UK.

  • Liaising with office and Project Managaement teams
  • Installation, termination and testing of cabling network infrastructure (cat6/6a/7)
  • Installing Containment
  • Installation of AP, cabinets, and other associated devices
  • Planning routes
  • Site Surveys
  • Completion of associated Paperwork
  • Working to deadlines and to ensure tasks are completed to specification
  • Understand and adhere to site specific Risk Assessments
  • Regular working away from home Monday - Friday

 

Candidate qualifications and attributes

  • ECS/CSCS
  • IPAF                           - (desirable)
  • SSSTS                       - (desirable)
  • A current UK driving license
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working on data cabling installation projects
  • Demonstrated experience in the installation, termination, and testing of data cable
  • Will be organised and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Will present a positive company image.
  • Able to work with schedules and diagrams
  • Basic I.T. and networking skills
  • Skilled to work with a large range of hand and power tools to assemble wiring and telecoms equipment
  • Will possess a complete set of own hand and power tools required for the role
  • Candidates must be able to provide references

Package

  • £32,000 - £36,000 per annum
  • Liaising to £38,000 - £43,000 per annum with overtime
  • Daily increase for working away
  • Company van
