Job Title: Technical Project Coordinator

Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum, based on experience
Position Summary:The candidate will work from either our main office in High Wycombe or our branch in Portsmouth, handling a range of responsibilities in the administration, coordination, scheduling, and execution of sophisticated cabling, IT, and telecom projects. This role demands a solid technical background and superior organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, adept at meeting targets in a dynamic environment with stringent SLAs. Collaboration with the General Manager will be crucial in supporting daily operations. The position requires interacting with clients and stakeholders in a high-energy setting, necessitating exceptional communication skills. Decisiveness, initiative, and adaptability are essential.
Primary Duties:
- Overseeing project timelines, resource allocation, equipment, and data management.
- Demonstrated expertise in structured cabling, IT, and telecom, with a strong technical grasp.
- Effective client collaboration to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery throughout all phases.
- Building and maintaining robust relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Regularly assessing performance metrics (KPIs) and collaborating with management, project teams, and on-site personnel to drive improvements.
- Managing new project enquiries and tenders, ensuring accurate scope definition and departmental assignment on tight schedules.
- Gathering client requirements for detailed quote preparation.
- Preparing and issuing quotations for minor projects beyond the primary project team’s scope.
- Following up on quotations, keeping CRM records current with status updates, notes, and project details.
- Assisting in developing workflow plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
- Performing administrative tasks, such as verifying on-site resource times against records, processing timesheets, and managing expense claims.
- Updating and distributing project documentation based on input from project managers, and providing clients with status updates.
- Timely response to client enquiries about project status.
- Analysing project costs and reporting findings to the General Manager.
- Organising site surveys and initial project meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with audio-visual systems.
- Experience with IP surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with fibre optic networks.
- Knowledge of SimPro software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service capabilities.
- Robust administrative skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
